ALRIGHT something i've been working on for a while. Like i probably mentioned in the past i want to flesh out my apocalypse universe, which is what i spend more time on and i'm very attached to. So between works for main characters n such, i am working on some creatures in it too.

It is mutated creatures pretty much, like for example the ones in Fallout , but that with years passing managed to become a succesful specie, reproducing and populating the world. So they are just part of the new ecosystem at this point . Said species like this one are not infectious, even tough the virus was the cause of the changes in the first place , they simply integrated in as a whole new working specie.

◾ Name: Canidae cutis aka Dog skin , called commonly Listeners

◾ Lifespawn : 20-25 years

◾ Specie: Derived from canid hosts ancestors

◾ Height: Max of 103 cm

◾ Lenght : Max of 170 cm

◾ Weight: Around 75 kilos

◾ Social behaviour: Pack animal (Max 20 per pack)

◾ Diet: Carnivore

◾ Behaviour : Midly agressive in packs

◾ Offspring: 5-6 pups

◾ Danger level : While they are easy to take down alone with a couple of shots, a pack of Listeners can be a serious problem, as they tend to be more savage in the protection of a group.

ANATOMY & MORE IN DETAIL INFO

Basic anatomy is similar to a wolf or dog, apparently skinned. Actually it just doesnt grow fur anymore, why it tends to live in warmer places and rarely leaves theyr nest if the night its too cold. To keep its body temperature up it may stuck up in piles of theyr own species to share body heat for hours or even days.

The tail has lost any sign of bones,and is just muscle and skin. While it mostly flops around with no sturdy control, it is useful to keep balance when running or in quick turns.

Its "evolution" made it loose completely the use of sight, and instead bases theyr survival on scent and noises. In fact on the muzzle there are many vents, similar to snakes, that can catch the scent of prey kilometers away. When relaxed flaps of veiny skin relax on its neck, but they are not as useless as they seem. Filled with muscles and intricated nerve system, when in use they standup like a radar, taking the function of giant ears. They are extremely sensible to sound and are said to hear the heartbeat of preys from meters away, and are the most valuable ability for theyr survival. When in use, the body heat goes mostly to the ears,giving them a "glow" effect.

Theyr teeth are very similar to canines , just black.
