AN ACCIDENT

With the storm that just hit the island leaving the pack of Lady butterfly to deal with a lot of damage on the structure they were residing in,soon there was no one if not Lady herself left to take care of the offsprigs of her group. While she surely was not a fan of the little noisy brats she would never try to lower herself to the level of others and help out with the cleaning of the algaes covering her pretty walls,so after some protest (that was mostly a talk with herself) she decided that THIS ONCE she would make this huge sacrifice,and make sure none of the children would manage to fall prey of brave seagulls.

Turns out that she underestimated the share number of hatchling that came this season.

As she soon started to yell,dragging her heavy body to retrieve a couple of utahs chicks challenging one another to who would get higher up on the remains of a old statue fountain,another hatchling stared down what he tought may be heaven.

A vast pool,filled to the brim with a variety of fishes that he had never seen. Dread knew he couldnt touch it,Lady was very specific about it. "i dont care about how much your eyes get big or googly,if i notice that even one of you tries to enter the pool i will make sure you wont eat for the rest of the week." the small sucho gulped, As no matter how big and clumsly she could be,she was very good at make herself intimidating.

With a stomach grumbling tough it was easier said than done to ignore the trapped fishes in the pool.

Looking behind his small frame he could only see her thick tail dragging further away on the floor,still yelling at the other hatchlings to get down and behave.

Surely....she wouldn't realize that one small fish would be missing out of the huge school that was in there....right...?

Adrenaline of the moment of indecision made his legs tremble,looking down at the deep pool,taking a long breath in and...diving in.

Even if there has been recently a storm the water was extremely clear,able to see the cracks on the tiles that covered the walls of the pool. This was Lady''s most important treasure afterall and after the new aquatic critters made home in the old island she was quick to 'hire them' to keep the pool in perfect condition.

Tough his concentration soon got taken by what was the main protagonist in here: the fishes.

So many shapes,so many sizes,so many colors.

It was a dream every pescivore likely had once in their life,a seemingly unlimited stash of fresh food just sitting there.

The small sucho let out growl like rumble,fixing his eyes on a fish of his size and propelling himself forward with his muscular tail.

Being so small in a pool filled with life seemed to make it harder than he tought to navigate,bumping off bigger fishes juts to get closer to that one target-but with the critter not realizing it was being hunted the chasing was very short.

Dread snapped his jaws close as strong as he could,feeling already the succulent taste of the fish passing trough his jaws,filling him with joy.

Momentary joy.

As he stopped,floating in the spot and using his clawed hands to have a good grip of the fish and emerge to the surface,Dread soon found out he was the one hunted now.

All the fishes seemed to quickly swim away,even smacking onto the walls just to get as far as possible,Dreadnaught found himself in a empty space he didnt think was possible in this pool...and only with one black silhouette coming towards him. His heart skipped a beat,soon trying to reach for the surface,but the dark shape soon covered the sunlight,such big body swimming with such elegance and power now. Black eyes glared at him,as the voluminous body circled around him,with nowhere to go.

He was in trouble.
