Description I learned of a new way to draw poses and I think it worked pretty well lo. I have never drawn Jessica Rabbit before and I really enjoyed the proccess. Jessica was a to of fun to draw and it did challenge me a bit. I wanted to have the character working her feminine wiles but at the same time I wanted to convey her strength and confidence. I wanted more than simple sex appeal, and I hope I achieved that. Be sure to leave a comment on your thoughts of my work, I would be most appreciative!

Jessica Rabbit from Who Framed Rodger Rabbit produced by Frank Marshall and Robert Watts.

Hello, I'm from ProjectComment

Funny enough I just watched this movie not too long ago. Jessica Rabbit sure is an eye catcher and I think you did a decent job portraying her here. They do look like Jessica Rabbit, and although it’s not colored, they do have the features, hair over one eye- lazy eyes, gown and sleeves.

As for the pose, the pose is a confident one, as they’re standing open out to people (a timid person would be drawn in), so there’s no worry there. Your new method sure looks interesting, and it does help in making the character not look stiff at all. It’s rather curvy, especially below the knee on the leg that is sticking out from the dress. However they do look a bit off.

Their chest and breasts seem off. They’re drawn as if she’s standing straight-  they should be off to the side and arching a bit upwards. From this side it makes it look as if she’s a bit hunchback, so always arc with the back- probably bend at the stomach a little going back. It’s also why the arms look a little too short as well, or at least the one arm we can see. Also the shoulders should be a bit broader and her head a bit smaller. If you’re not sure as to what I mean, I could always draw it out for you.

Other than that I do like how you’ve shaded or added in the shading to her somewhat sparkling dress. The black outlines under her breasts and on the arms look rather nice, and it would have been nice to see that since the material she’s wearing (mostly on her arms) is rather shiny. The facial expression is spot on for the character, and the dress does have the necessary creases and folds to it.

Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much for the amazing comment! This style was very foreign to me but I thought it would be good to give it a shot. Clearly shes moddled after a character I beleive named "Little Red Hood" (don't quite me). But it gave me a chance to attempt an art style made famous from earlier years of cartoon animation. I still struggle with anatomy I must admit but any help you would be willing to give I'd greatly appreciate it! If you dont mind could you send me a link to it in a note? I get so many notifications I don't want it to get lost in the chaos.

I am sorry about the lack of color. I'm actually colorblind to a degree. I can see color but telking you if something is green or yellow.... I'll probably be wrong lol. I can comor with the aid of my computer since it tells me what colors are what but I cant tell what colors are complimentary to ine another. So bbn if I color it looks a bit flat but rather than let this get me down I'm hoping I can use it as a techniulque ina way. For example if you remember the old SwatKats cartoon they used very heavy shadowing. That's the comor style I love and want to replicate and make it my own.

Anyway thank you again for this great help!

Thanks Cimar! I was a bit nervous seeing this was my first time drawing Jessica. I think I captured her personality, but if mot then I did my best.

Hey do you think I was able to draw her with a bit more than simple sex appeal? I mean I wanted that but also I was to have the rest of her personality come out.

I think you covered most of her and her aspects and personality. Its hard to capture multiple layers in a single drawing though. I think you did well.

I really appreciate that. Jessica is a very interesting character in her own right. Rodger definitely found himself a keeper. Lol
