heh, these grinding pages do some good characterization of the pokemon, pretty cool just how many different personalties you got in your cast of pokemon. and yeah, always so tempting to moon stone it, but then it learns no moves

Here's the thing, as a Nidorino, it can learn things like Horn Drill, Poison Jab, Double kick and Toxic Spikes, where as if you evolved it into a Nidoking right away, it'd have Thrash, Earth Power and Megahorn... Which you can get from the Move Rememberer.

only thing is that the move rememberer requires a payment of a heart scale each time. trash is ehhhhh for nuzlockes, especially since you get locked into it, the other two aren't such bad options, but better to just level him up and learn those

Well, since Nidoking doesn't really learn any moves that boost his attack, I'm gonna teach him 'Poison Jab' and 'Horn Drill' before he evolves, giving him a good Physical-Poison move and a One-Hit K.O move, then WHEN he evolves, i'll have (hopefully) found the TM for 'Earthquake' so i'll teach it to him, and i've been told he'll learn 'Megahorn' via Move rememberer.

But yeah, those are his best moves. I'm a little shaky-pete with One-Hit-KO moves since they seem to have a habit of missing when you need them the most. @_@ Unless you just Mind-reader/One-hit KO them, but only one PokΓ©mon is capable of doing that and it's often banned in Nuzlockes.

Banned Pokemon in Nuzlockes? I don't think so, just so long as it's the first pokemon in the area, it's fair game according to the original two rules.

It's something that people adds to the rules, since Legendary PokΓ©mon often make the game easier (according to what others say, it's not of my personal experience, not speaking on my own regard). I see them more as Exp gainers than I do as worthy catches, due to their ATROCIOUSLY LOW CATCHRATESFFFFFARTICUNOYUSOHARDTOCATCH?! ... @_@ Sorry. Usually far more composed than that.
Though it's one of those optional rules to, again, make the Nuzlocke more challenging.
