This looked a lot better on paper -_-'I only used a 0.7 led pencil to draw and shade this.
Yes, I know I'm not much of an artist, if you can even call me that, but I think this came out OKAY. The pencil he is holding did not show properly in the scan...guess it wasn't dark enough. Another mistake was the ear, I apologize about that but I made a small mistake on the inside and when I tried to erase it, the ear got smudged instead.

First thing I noticed was the expression (it always is with me), you got his contemplation down, as if he's wondering about something else rather than what he's writing, but it's related to the writing. Like the folds in the clothes. The light bit above the paper and then over the arm implies he's wearing two layers, but I am not sure.

That's exactly what I was hoping to show. He thinks about everything around him, not only what is on his paper although that is one of the many.

first of all, I think you did a fantastic job on his anatomy. on drawings, I use to look at hands first and they're sketched out in a expressive way by you.
don't worry any longer about the ear, it fits to the rest of your work. little mistakes are okay
but generally I'm not sure about the whole pencil work. I mean, I feel like you got a little anxious and inconsequent drawing style. some parts of your work look like you weren't sure wether to brighten or to darken them (especially the brighter party of his clothing above the paper). I guess you just have to practise a little more

Thank you, I really concentrate on the anatomy when I draw because I feel like if the anatomy's wrong than everything feels a little off, so thanks.
The ear really got my nerves since it looked like a tomato, lol. But at least it's not the first thing you'd notice.
You are correct. I felt really anxious while working on it because it was the first time I ever did something like it and the clothes really made my head hurt, thinking of all the folds and the lightening all in black and white.

I like this piece, for me it's the best you have up, but it's maybe influenced by my tastes
The knee is a bit small, but overall, it's well achieved.

I can't draw well During Class with a pencil, for some reason, It HAS to be pen. I don't know if you already looked it up, but a Tortillion is a roll of soft paper/normal paper which is used to shade and smudge lead drawings. ^^

You know the cheap olouring in books which are like, REALLY THICK but the paper is almost like, soft, grainy/parchment like paper? the paper i use for tortillions is like that XD
