In honor of the upcoming 10 year anniversary of the prequel to the classic horror movie, The Thing, I thought I'd do a little meme for laughs... and a tribute to one of the scariest scenes in the prequel.

In the first movie, MacReady and Dr. Copper come across the remains of a creature with two faces merged together, that later turns out to still have cellular activity, and the remains kill and assimilate Bennings, almost completing the imitation process if Windows hadn't informed MacReady, Fuchs and the others. The prequel reveals the origins of the remains, which turned out to be the revived alien creature having assimilated Edvard and killed and assimilated Adam, merging his face with its own. The end result is one of the most horrific looking (in a scary way) things in all of horror- no pun intended. The Split-Face Thing then got burned by Kate Lloyd and ended up outside where it would later be found by MacReady and Dr. Copper in the original movie.

Plankton finds this creature more terrifying than anything he's seen before, especially in his own experiments, that rather than go through an excrutiatingly painful fate worse than death, which is being assimilated and dying a slow painful death, he runs back to the Chum Bucket screaming his head off.
