Perhaps it's my knee-jerk reaction to how the fandom has made out Jaune to be this cassanova who gets all the ladies ala the typical OP harem protagonist (and I absolutely HATE those types of characters). I already have problems with Jaune in canon, so stuff like this only proves me right with what the fandom has done to him. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a direct attack against you so sorry if it sounded like it was.
And to be honest: I can think of a TON more RWBY characters who I want in before Jaune (or JNPR) for that matter.

Well cassanova? Well as much as I can tell not all the girls are interested in him, Weiss rejected him in the first 2 seasons but that might change after season 5,Ruby what I seen she and Jaune have mostly friends, Nora is just a team mate and she's more interested in Ren, Blake she spent more time with Sun all she with Jaune that their voice actors use to date, as for OP I seen that more from Ruby while Jaune is still an Underdog, as fandom giving Jaune really don't see it as being that bad since I do it myself and I seen worst from the fandom,

you do realize fan only do it for fun right? The way your behavior is acting is very similar to the bumblebee who attacked Arryn (Blake voice actor) after she confirmed the song bumblebee has nothing to do with the ships.
jaune character is well written because we can relate to his character. Ruby character is like comparing her to a cut out board. Jaune knows the value of lost and hard work. He secretly trains at night in volume 4.
