Bladespark — The nerdiest thing I have ever made

Description If you recognize this just by looking at it, take a nerd point. Take a couple, even.

For those of you who didn't instantly recognize it, it's a Pierson's Puppeteer! which is an alien species from some of Larry Niven's books. I have no idea if they actually come in pink, that was the customer's color choice, but overall this does look pretty much just like the critter should, far as I can tell.

It's also posable, with a plastic jointed spine through its body, and some wire in the lip-fingers for a little additional posability. It was a ton of fun to do! (And also a ton of work, but very worth it.)

Wow -- a puppeteer plush!  I never expected to see one, but he's so cute!

Thanks!  Alas I make whatever my customers hire me to make, mostly. I don't have a lot of time for personal projects, or I probably would.  (Or I'd at least make a bunch more Puppeteers.)

Holy crap, I *DID* recognize it, even if the color threw me off. I don't remember them mentioning pink as a usual color. Then again, I'm not a huge Niven fanboy... Amazing work, Bladespark!

Thanks! (And I have no idea if the pink is an acceptable natural color for Pierson's Puppeteers either, but they are known to dye their manes, so why not the rest of them too?)

You have a point. Anyway, a puppeteer out in the wild is insane anyway. Why not dye their coat pink.
