Actually, Knuckles AND Shadow were supposed to be in Unleashed ^.^ But for some reason, the creators dropped the idea. It's a shame though. I loved the game, but i think it would have been cool to see those two in it

Knuckles and Shadow where planed, to be in Unleashed. But their let them both out, because, their hade no idea for a real role for them.
I mean, we Sonic, Chip, Tails, Amy, Eggman, Prof. Pickle and Ergo where enough characters.
