i am in desprite need of help. maybe tomorrow i can stay after school with my art teacher so he can help me because im not really improving. tips would be very much appreciated

I know that it's John Lennon without looking at the name so you've accomplished the only thing you need to accomplish with portraits: familiarity. Now that you have that, the technique is easily observed with your strokes of the pencil and that gives it a style of it's own.
I want to move away from realism, but at this point I can't so I've given up on traditional art. My drawings are no different from others who try realism. You don't have to go toward realism. I won't find another John Lennon drawing like yours.
