In just a few months I have seen a small portion
Of what the world has to offer
In just a few months I have witnessed the distortion
Of that the world commands
In just a few months I have witnessed destruction
The corruption of a few passing souls
In just a few months some have abandoned instruction
And have fallen at the weight of the world.

I have seen things no one should ever have to witness
I have seen things in the short time I have been here
I have heard things from people I have trusted
That no one should ever have to hear.

The fragility of life I have held in my hands
[The line drawn there is thin]
The balance on Earth is corrupted
Teeming with hate and with sin

So with this comes the great decision
To give up or to help those in need
Do I want to clean up others
Or do I want to let them bleed?
You say I'm crazy to give this a try,
You may think rightly so.
For without humility there is pride
And humilty with me always goes.
I have chosen my course on this planet wisely
And I hope you do the same
For with compassion comes great suffering
With rewards too rich to name.
But with this lost and hopeless world
There shall always be
Some who help, some who listen
One of them is me
There are two kinds of people in this world,
Only two kinds, I have seen.
Those that take all of the pain
Or those who ignore the need.
