Ohh yeah. Rogue is my favorite X-Men character and I've been reading X-Men comics since I was a kid. I love the enemies-to-lovers trope, I guess. It's not like Rogue's other relationships aren't filled with copious amounts of angst(looking at you Gambit and Magneto.)
And I ship them,as in, it would be a relationship I would love to see some writer tackle cleverly but I know it will NEVER happen in reality. Rogue's always been depicted as pretty darn straight, anyway. So I guess that idea will have to live on only in my imagination.

Thanks, and yes, me and you and other fans of both ladies love to see their relationship develop instead, you know "Hydra captain America and F##k SJWs and alt-righters.", by elder gods, I am tired of that crap, would be nice to see rogue and carol danvers working together in a X-Men issue or uncanny avengers or even the captain marvel series, BUT! It must have rules and expectations to meet.
Ahem....the hardships any author will meet for this story are:
1. Their hostile history and how can a ship can develop from Rouge, who almost ruined the life of Ms/Captain marvel.
2. How to NOT derailed their characters or make them designated villians or heroes.
3. NO reference to civil war II or secret empire.
The EXPECTATIONS:
1. Have flashbacks to their time together, from their battle at the x-mansion to AVX, adding retcon, really good ones.
2. Have the classic animated rogue hairstyle costume and ms. marvel black swimsuit make a appearance.
3. Have spider-woman, helping the ladies stay together.
4. Have loving care between the two ladies, like kisses in their hair or friendly races.
5. Have Rogue uses an enemy's powers instead of Carol.
The authors:
I got nothing, but, do u have any suggestions for authors who can write these ladies as they are, name 5 to 6 of them, and tell me how it may work. And try to add stories if you can, I won't mind if you can't.
