History: The Lapis Family boasts having generation after generation of successful Gryffindors. The Lapis children were told stories of their great Gryffindor ancestors every hour of everyday. To be a Gryffindor, was to be great and immortalized in the many fables and tales told throughout the Lapis generations. Anything else was unheard of. Lapis lazuli
When the Sorting hat placed Alloe into Slytherin, she cursed out the hat, further showing the crowd that she belonged in Slytherin. Even though as a child Gryffindor was the “best house,” she wanted to go into Ravenclaw or even Hufflepuff. She never talked about it at home or in her letters as she didn’t want to hear her mother cry. Her stupid younger brother, Zuli, ratted on Alloe and her sister (He got into Gryffindor). Thankfully, after many tears, her parents accepted this fate and her mother even backs them up when the family shames them for being from another house.
