I've started drawing in a new sketchbook; I'm used to the little kind but this one's 8.5''x11'' so it's pretty exciting. I'm trying to use it efficiently so I may end up uploading a lot of pages, which mostly look just like this, with all the little thoughts I could manage squeezed into one sheet.

May have to download it to read my handwriting...

But there's Nathan being all cute and bending down to look Kara in the eye...

And below that Kara wearing Nate's glasses and his favorite t-shirt. I thought she looked surprisingly good in the glasses, haha. Oh and he looked kinda weirdly big in that sketch so I wrote "Nathan you look chubby what have you been eating man" next to it. My sketchbook is a diaolgue I have with my characters. Yes, it's odd.

Top right is Nathan's dad, Ray, who looks too much like Mike. I've been pushing my characters' facial diversity but I still have to work on that. Then below him is Nathan's mom, Ashley. I drew them as teenagers once: fav.me/d78gtu2
Nathan takes after his mom more; she's very tall and they have the same face and eyes. That's also where Nathan gets his wavy hair. Then from Ray he gets the lopsided eyebrows and mouth, and of course dark skin and hair.

Aaand finally in the bottom right there's Kara meeting Ray for the first time and being embarrassed because Ray is shorter than she by an inch. He's a very small man but he's like a little teddy bear. The dialogue reads "I thought you'd be..." "Yeah, taller."
