It's like the issue that Rosa Parks (lawyers) had with Outkast. Here you you are trying to introduce a legend to a new generation, and opportunist jump in and fu$k things up.
Funny thing on Poitier. In grade school, thats all kids called me, so naturally, I hated the guy. Of coures in the 80's it turned into 'Sid Vicious'
Today, since Poitier is considered an icon, I have no problem being mentioned in the same sentence for name sake wise. Might do a picture of him one of these days. Maybe a piece showing black actors past and present. Not a bad idea....
