I love how the knot in the tree head looks like a vertical eye.
they seem like a ravenous pair. (the thought of a ravenous tree is a bit frightening...)
another point that I like a lot is the skin colouration of the other head. the blues are a very nice touch.

i like to scan things in pieces then put them together. i find that using multiply layers in photoshop helps. but as for the piece itself...
so frightening. i always like the idea of drooling...i dont know why...more akin to spitting..like vomiting of ideas and other things. the faces are creepy...the brown one looks healthy and ready to grow but the pale one looks sickly...i wonder the inspiration for this if you dont mind to tell it <3

inspiration...? well combined ideas really. i draw these plant creatures i call them "Triffids" (got it from an old b movie) then i created this bizarre aristocrat, Francis Pills, and i combined them. i want to write a short story based on this idea here, i want to creat a modern day "Metamorphosis"
and as for the drool, i like yucky things

dont get me wrong it's a lot of work to scan and then put together...and it never comes out perfect but it becomes a much higher quality with closer colors at least.
as for 'working on' is his acrylic? i like the technique very much. when i work with thick paint i like the impressionistic views and blotches as color and light...so i think it is quite finished.

lol i have been so used to watercolor...the paper really creates a lot of the interest you know? but i have been paintning two paires of shoes with acrylic this past month. it is hard! acrylic cannot be underestimated!
