Personality: Normally very calm. However, due to Gero's genetic tampering, his urge for battle is much stronger than the average saiyan. Sometimes, this causes him to lose focus and attempt to fight anyone near him that he considers strong enough.

How he meets the z warriors: Trunks and Krillin accidentally reactivate him when they destroy Gero's underground lab.

Veroku's super form is unlocked the first time his power cell is overcharged, and is similar to a super saiyan. After the first time he reached this form, he can activate it at will. The physical differences in this form are that his hair turns white/silver, and his pupils disappear. In super form, he gains full control of his android power source, and can unleash very destructive attacks due to this. The downside is that when he becomes overcharged (takes in too much energy all at once), he must get rid of the excess power or he risks being destroyed. When overcharged, the colors of his eyes invert and his muscles more than double in size.

Relatives: Vegeta, Goku, and their respective families.
Androids 16, 17, and 18 are his "siblings".

Planet of origin: Earth

Techniques/moves: Basic ki attacks and blasts, eye lasers, and a wide range of martial arts moves implanted in his memory. He later creates his own signature moves.

Story/Origin: Dr. Gero had just gathered the DNA from Goku and Vegeta during their battle on earth and wanted to test his abilities in genetic splicing. He created Android 21 by combining their DNA and forming it around a prototype android endoskeleton. The prototype was meant to absorb energy through kinetic force, but Gero knew a human subject wouldn't be tough enough for it to work. Gero was pleased with how number 21 turned out; until he started disobeying the doctor. Gero placed him is stasis like the other three androids, and began working on Cell, now confidant that he would be able to genetically create the perfect being.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Since he's an android, Veroku does not need to eat, breathe, or sleep. His body was built to be very durable in order to properly absorb energy like Gero intended it to. Using saiyan DNA allowed his organic material to keep up with his non-organic material by adjusting to his new power and possibly increasing it through zenkais. This allows android 21 to withstand powerful attacks in order to become as strong/stronger than his opponent. He can, however, still be injured. His organic body can survive most blunt impact, but any edged weapons will still pierce him. He can also be disintegrated if a ki blast of significant power is used (though it would have to be stronger than him by a fair amount). And he has no defense against magical attacks, such as Buu's candy beam or Babidi's spells. Buu's ki attacks also hurt 21 because they're magical and His body cannot absorb them like it would regular ki blasts. Another (much less common) weakness is blutz waves. Gero removed Veroku's tail genetically, as he knew the oozaru transformation would tear his body apart. But not only do blutz waves grow a saiyan's tail back, they also force them to transform. Too much exposure to them would cause Android 21 to begin transforming and destroy his mechanical parts. This is also why he cannot turn into a ssj4.
