Here's a 3D model, print and paint of a bug from the mobie Starship Troopers. It was modelled from various references, 3D printed and then airbrushed/painted.

This was more practice airbrushing and painting and a play with masking fluid. I also had an experiment with some of my Citadel paints that I rarely use (mostly as they're not airbrush-ready, and I'm lazy). I thinned them down and they came out quite nice.

I had gotten the paint job looking really good at one point and then made the mistake of over-tweaking it and adding a wash (it didn't need it), but I think I have it to a state where I'm happy with it. I've also coated it with a gloss finish to give it that shiney-bug-look.
