Description
Been having a pretty busy week but still had a bit of time to work on my dozer(just not enough time to dig thru photos/edit/write and post) anyways here is the dozer with some paint, weathering and couple washes. still got more weathing to do on this beast, but for now i can put this hull away and work on the mountian of other stuff i gotta get done for the dozer. have a box of fully painted parts as well but now i am waiting on whats left to proceed. So whats left? a tonnage. stowage set, figurines, tiny details, guns, and all the fun stuff i need to get the track on. still unsure about the claw that goes on the back of the bulldozer. i have it primed but it makes the kit even bigger(harder to display) have been thinking about just bashing it for all its fun parts. i could see using all the hydraulics for something better in the future.
anywho i still got a ton, but with the holidays i got a bit of free time coming up(and not waking up as early) i hope to get it finished up by next weekend.
As always questions comments, and suggestions are welcome.

Thanks!
i loved this kit/project. meng hit it outta the park with this model(other than some minor gripes and problems) i saw this kit when it was first releasedΒ and instantly i thought of a post-apocalyptic dozer. it was pretty fun for me to finally try to make that idea come to life.

Yep, I'm really loving Meng. Β I fixate on weird things, but I love how the kit comes with a choice of blue tinted glass or clear. lol Β Their M2A3 with full interior is also awesome and cool considering the subject has a lot of hatches and doors to open to show all the interior stuff off. Β I can't wait for their A7V to be released next month-- cool WW1 stuff ahoy!

well yours is moving faster than my tank, keep hitting structural issues which is slowing every thing down

Yeah its a bit complicated with the whole 8 tread / four legged walking base I'm using, all attached but a bit unstable right now and I still have to design the top

enc86 In reply to Deadpool7100 [2014-12-23 19:31:21 +0000 UTC]
that does sound really complicated!
tho if anybody can do it, its you. only wish i could get that way at some point, but i have to get wayyyy better at scratch building.

"Just having a Doze"
I wasn't so sure on the rustic red myself..... but its sorta growing on me now, front end looks real orky style, makes me wanna scream "Waaagh!"
You decided if yer gonna ditch the claw yet?
π: 0 β©: 1
enc86 In reply to lord-seth [2014-12-22 14:29:26 +0000 UTC]
XD
thanks dude, yea i really like the red, once it gets some more weathering(some pigments) and a flat top coat, it will work better(kinda odd when its glossy)
haha it really does have an ork look, sure they would love something like this. i get pretty inspired by warhammer builds, so i guess it shows.
"Waaagh!"
yea still not sure about it, the claw is still sitting in a box. i modified the construction, so it kinda just snaps on and off. so even if i leave it off, i could at a latter date attach it. the hydraulics that come with it tho, are really neat(would be hard to scratch build or find others) and i can already cook up other uses for them.

Very, very cool work man. Love it, especially the cockpit compartment and the teeth pattern on the dozer blade.

enc86 In reply to G2ORC [2014-12-22 14:14:56 +0000 UTC]
thanks dude!
i am pretty happy with the cockpit(still waiting on more detail) the kit was not meant to be opened, so i am happy that even after all my painting, i built it in aΒ way it will always open up. gives me more of an incentive to load it up with detail!
was pretty unsure about the blade, but figured i couldn't go wrong with teeth on the blade XD

enc86 In reply to Markonator [2014-12-22 14:12:55 +0000 UTC]
thanks dude!
sometimes a simple color scheme can go a long way!hopefully once its done and has a nice flat coat, the metal will look even better(still pretty glossy) working on the stowage now(so i don't have to wait for them) then it really will be all downhill.

yea really will be, got a ton done today. lol tho i was a dummy and split my thinner pot on my work space, wreaked a couple of stowage parts in the process(hate having to re-do stuff). so that was fun and slowed me down a bit lol. but i haven't done that in a long time, and if that's the worst mistake i make, then i am happy.
awesome dude, hopefully i be about done myself then. lol always a few things i forget about too tho XD

Nice! Well that kind of stuff happens once in a while, but re-doing is a bitch, unless it turn out much much better the next time ;D
That would be cool Finishing these projects will be like Christmas gift for ourselves

yea that kinda stuff sucks. i do it about once a year, must a huge mess. well i guess it was time to clean my desk anyways(i like a clean work space)
Β yea they will! then we both can move on the next ones XD

Markonator In reply to enc86 [2014-12-28 17:25:47 +0000 UTC]
I usually make a mess here and there since I don't have a regular place to work at
I still have some way to go before paint, but I'll try to get something done that I can as soon as I can
π: 0 β©: 1
enc86 In reply to Markonator [2014-12-28 18:44:17 +0000 UTC]
yea and some people just work better in a messy workspace. i am just one of those clean freaks. mostly because alot of my mistakes happen in the middle/end of a build and are due to my work space being crowded and messy.
awesome dude!

Markonator In reply to enc86 [2014-12-28 19:07:09 +0000 UTC]
I usually like a semi clean, but always organized, so that I know where everything is a little mess doesn't bother me that much

enc86 In reply to Markonator [2014-12-28 20:40:23 +0000 UTC]
yea i am pretty much like that but there is a line where it starts bothering me BIG time. usually after each build i spend a couple of hours cleaning up and re-organizing.
