I really really hope this guy turns out legit cause I love love LOVE IT!!! I just wanted to take a little short ten minute break from my homework to draw this guy before he ends up confirmed fake and falls into obscurity and is instantly forgotten...

GOOOOOOOOD I had a feeling you'd be in the same boat as me, I just saw your journal though, I'm surprised to see how many people that say they didn't care for Mewtwo REALLY love this new guy! He's getting so much more love than hate at least from what I see, I can't wait to see what his story is like, I really am hoping he's a new Pokemon all-together and not a form cause that leads itself more to an interesting origin. Also can't wait to see some more of him in action cause he looks incredible in the new battle format, but above all what I can't wait to see the most....

Well Smash ended about ten minutes ago and it's official, he's real! Now the question is, what the hell IS he? They are still being secretive with it, just as they are with Sylveon and the Legendaries types. The American Pokemon site now is like WHAT IS THIS NEW MYSTERIOUS THING THAT LOOKS LIKE MEWTWO?!??!
So there's a chance this may actually be a seperate Pokemon all together and not a form, but I am still banking on forme. Even if it is a different Pokemon entirely all the nostalgic people will still complain though.

Yeah I knew that right from the start but that changes nothing when you take into account the way the Resolute Form of Keldeo was revealed, same way, they literally photoshopped the Resolute Form over the normal one in the old poster so there's still hope for me!

I suppose you have a point about the new mewtwo's possible legitimacy. I'm kinda on the fence as it is about mewtwo's "new form" though. although mewcubed sounds really wierd, mewthree is better

Welp Smash finished airing around an hour ago and it was confirmed to be true, though we don't know what he is, still. Even the American Pokemon site is keeping his role ambiguous, is he a new Pokemon, or a forme? guess we'll find out soon! And gosh I'm so excited, I really am hoping for a new Pokemon all-together I'm sure that would lead to a more interesting story than some form.
Also I chose Mew^3 solely to emphasize the stupid point of me poking fun of his Gamecube handle

Indeed. I too have heard this news. frankly, as long as it isn't an alternate form of mewtwo himself, I'm going to love this guy. his design is a lot better looking now that I've seen all of it, and seen it in motion. I just don't like all these alternate forms. If it's somehow related to mewtwo, but not actually the same individual, that'd be awesome.
