Description
Prectians are a species of mammal-like humanoids that were the last to be conquered by the Cerest, and the ones that gave them the most fight. Because of this, they have a reputation for being brutish warriors (which isn't helped by their appearance and often violent customs). They are much more complex than they seem, however, and nearly all clans are characterized by their intense devotion to and respect of all living things. They live in tight-knit familial groups and are naturally territorial, forming deep bonds with the peopel and places they interact with. Most Prectians on our current planet have either been drafted into the Cerest military or emigrated from their original territory around the Emperial crash site to avoid this fate. They are also commonly employed for manual labor, especially in the many fringe areas where technology is scarce. Like all of the other CE species that aren't Cerest, they have no major say in the government, though they do have a notable ally in the muttreazik (another group we'll talk about later) who also share their respect for life.

they also have the jaw strength of a grizzly bear, though, so I wouldn't suggest trying to pet one.
