You've set the bar so high, you'll be forever competing against yourself

When I shot my last wedding I showed the main photographer the best shot I'd done all day. The back lighting was perfect, really natural pose, great composition - he nodded and said "yeah, just do more like that". I was like "you bastard."

Peaking is good, peaking early? Not so good.
(I'm sure there's a sex joke in there somewhere)

I'm trying to adopt the mantra of "when you've got the shot, move on", but it's a tough discipline and isn't suitable for all types of photography.

It can be pretty difficult to get in to that mentality, sometimes it can screw me over when I thought I had the shot but don't -.-
But I do try to stick to that whenever possible.

Yeah, when you think you've hit the ball out of the park, then it turns out the shot didn't work quite as well as you thought it can leave a bitter taste!

Thanks, I guess carrying around lights has its advantages
