Ey, remind me not to do cel-ish character design at odd hours when my brain actually is wanting to paint. The time spent/results achieved ratio on this is incredibly skewed! Had fun though, so that's alright.Anywho, Sky (Lightning's granddad, you may spot some mild resemblances) gets a makeover. I never actually drew him when he was old and fluffy, so here we go! Fuzzeh. This is also one guy you don't want to animate. ...I dare you to draw and color him.

Haha, I would change it because I think I wouldn't have the patience to draw a character with such a design but if you have fun drawing it then it's a good idea to keep it

Well, I hardly draw the guy, so it doesn't hurt much--though I guess he can have complex and simple designs for different styles!

It's part of the weirdness that is an elemental wolf! (Totally Unique Idea is thanks to my eleven-year-old self, but I'm too sentimental to drop 'em) I stuck it in his leg, though, because I have at the least realized that it's a little tricky for wolves to go tying ribbons and pendants on themselves unaided, and for these not to fall off while they're running around.

WOW. My first wolf (it was not long ago) was ... good I guess, for a beginning, but a little creepy too. He was orange. Yeah <.<
LOL Well that really makes sense. I never thoguht about the ribbons and how they could tie them on themselves, but I never made my characters with all that accessories stuff, I never really liked it. :\ But I love the idea of this elemental wolf with the.. piece of ground stuck on his leg. XD Yeah

I wasn't ever very keen on accessories for most of my OCs either, but there's this cool stone thing in the world these guys are from, and the charms are apparently chips off it that, er, have something to do with their powers. This seemed to be the best way to go about it without destroying the original idea entirely, ahah. Though in any case I expect magical wolves also would have spells such as jewelry-fashioning and ribbon-tying, along with the fur-dying, so that's all okay. xD

LOL yeah. Well, I have a magic wolf OC myself, she's a wolf water nymph with the name Mizu XD, but she only has strange markings and some weirdo powers, not any accessories. I like the idea of the spells that can put on ribbons and jewelry XD

8D The names of my characters always mean something. Althea for instanse means healer and my wolf character Althea can heal animals.
Samuel means "answer of prayers"
Mizu means water
ETC ETC ETC XDD

Yeah I realized the senselessness of my naming a little later (think when I was twelve) and proceeded to give all the elemental wolves two other names in various languages depending on which I thought was pretty. I can't remember Water's. Something Water Flueve... oh right, Regen Water Flueve. I think. A bit excessive, not to mention entirely random >>;

Hey, how old are you now (I ask without any stalkerish hint). I'm 13 (LOL?) and I satrted drawing wolves last year.
I like the name Regan Water Flueve. Kinda strange, but that adds a nice touch if you want your character to be mysterious

All of two decades! Ooh, cool. I started drawing late when I was eleven so that's almost the same time as you. You can check out my crazy old art at that lionking archive if you like xD My biggest improvement was between 12 and 13/14, probably. I mean. From those two drawings of Sky and Water to [link] was pretty big! Then I slowed down 'cause I didn't draw a tenth as much as I used to.
I suppose so, though I'm still not sure how it makes sense to have random languages in that world's context!
