Desandre Winged One - Dragonborn (Bronze) Hermit Fighter 1
Raised during a period of great upheaval and war, Desandre stood out for her beauty and her wings. Fighting alongside her father during a rebellion in the desert, she earned a bounty on her head. Escaping into the seclusion of the woods, she had a vision of Meilikki with a curious riddle. She has returned to civilization for the first time in a decade to seek out answers.

Desandre was born during a period of great upheaval in the land of Rix. The Monarchy was collapsing and an alliance had not yet been struck with the Dwarves of the West. With food and jobs running short, and fearful of Desandre's wings being shunned or abused, her parents chose to travel by sea to Vennerik and eventually settled in Arallas. Strangers in a new land, there were not many Dragonborn, and some were even seen as enemies due to the constant conflicts between Rix and Madridan. But Vennerik was an independent kingdom and melting pot of many cultures. With hard work and determination, her parents were able to establish themselves and provide her a stable life.
For her 8th birthday, her parents got her a songbird she named Flitter. Watching the bird helped her learn to use her own wings, which were just starting to grow big enough to bore her aloft. However, when she was 14, an invading force of Orcs tried to take the mainland of Vennerik, and she and her parents fled into the desert. They joined a rebellion to push back against the invaders, and unfortunately Flitter didn't survive in the harsh climate. As Desandre grew more beautiful, she focused on learning to fight and became easily recognizable by the enemy. She typically fought along side her father, who was killed in the heat of battle providing the distraction she needed to take out the clan leader. As the Vennerik army finally came to aid the rebellion and push back the invaders, it was heard that the surviving clans still had a bounty on her life.
Fearing her safety, her mother took her west to the woods outside Dragon Bridge, where they lived in relative seclusion for years. Her mother established herself as a medicine woman, keeping Desandre away from civilization at all costs. Desandre spent time alone in the woods, and came to gain an appreciation for the forest and became devout in maintaining the balance of nature. One evening on the Autumn Equinox, she had a vision of Meilikki who chose her as a protector of the wood and inspired her to seek out the answer to a complex riddle. Unsure of the answer, she has returned to civilization for the first time in nearly a decade to seek help on her quest.
