Description Oh god not another one, What have I done?!

I've redone this a bit to make it even more ridiculous, and I think I've almost doubled the number of swords on it. I guess I'll go section by section to describe it.
First Section: The entire sword put together. I'm, not going to bother throwing together some numbers, so lets just leave it at "too big for you to wield."

Second: Here's it with the Shield and a few other things removed. The length's been reduced significantly, but there's already been several weapons removed. There's 2 katars, 2 sword-chucks, and 8 throwing knives. The second katar and sword-chuck comes from the other side of the blade.

Thrid: 4 more weapons removed. These are fairly thin, because they rest on either side of the main blade in the middle. the top part of either one (each pair is basically the same btw) comes off for a wide short sword/cleaver thing, and the bottom is a big revolver. The handle rotates and bends into the grip, and because I don't know anything about guns and this is as ridiculous as possible, lets say the revolver fires .50 cal rounds.

Fourth: Here's the main blade and the last sword still on it. That sword has a few slots on it that move to spit out thin spikes. No real reason, just spikes.

Fifth: BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE. the main sword spreads apart to make it seem bigger, and then the 2 blades come off completely into separate swords. Plus the axe slips off, which leaves...

Sixth: The real base sword. I'm pretty sure I can't possibly take anything else off of this sword. This last one is a reinforced obsidian blade. It's the most fragile, which is why is housed so deep in the sword, but its also the sharpest, and thus the most powerful I guess. It also extends to almost the length of the original sword.

Total blade count: 24 + 1 shield
"it's like a whole army in a 'single' sword!"

The only way you could make this viable is if you gave it to someone with a semblance that can hold it all together, like magnetism or metal-fusing or something.

Imagine some guy just coming to fight and it's like
Challenger: That's your sword? It looks broken!
Guy: nah *takes of shield* K lets fight
Challenger: WTF!!! It's a multi tool? HOW DOES THAT WORK!
Guy: it's actually 24 swords and a shield...
Challenger: *eye twitchs* K lets just fight
*clank clank*
the end

"Or the terror of seeing someone successfully use this." lol. That spawned the thought that this is one of the results if Cloud and Noctis got together and had a Sword (or more), and that this would be one of those Sword-children between the two.

I know where you got this. This is a remake of the Fusion Blade that Cloud Strife has in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

It's really hard to do actually, but could you please make a simple version of multi blade D.
And by the way, have you watched RWBY? you could get some references from it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Blaze-Drag In reply to mouse1002 [2014-01-02 16:11:04 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I've watched rwby, that's where I got the inspiration for a few of my more recent designs. And yeah, I've actually been thinking about making a simpler version of Multiblade D for awhile now, since this was primary based around seeing how many weapons I could fit into a sword, rather than having any amount of elegance to it.

How much simpler were you thinking? I can probably drop the sword-chucks at the very least, lol.

TheGuardianTempest [2013-07-16 12:59:46 +0000 UTC]

Yes! Yes! There are only two ways I've come up with to truly wield this blade by yourself:
1. Slow down time as you use one weapon after another while the others are still in midair.
2. Self-clone methods.

Anyway, I thought obsidian would be much harder than that. You could say that the black sword is made out of something else like tourmaline, carbon steel or even a special kind of magnetite that only keeps the sword together. I don't know, I don't really like it much when a core blade is fragile. The sheer number of other weapons makes up for it though, even the sword-chucks!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Blaze-Drag In reply to TheGuardianTempest [2013-07-16 15:12:56 +0000 UTC]

I don't remember why I made the core obsidian. I think it was because it's naturally absurdly sharp, and so it'd be like an ultimate weapon that you also need to be careful and skilled at to wield without it breaking. Obsidian is just volcanic glass, so it's actually fairly breakable, unlike in minecraft.

Basically the entire concept runs on rule of cool anyways, so anything goes. I kinda want to refine this sword a little bit because I personally feel like I could arrange the swords in a more elegant fashion.

yes, its ridiculous, yes its massive and unwieldy, but fuck me sideways, its cool

also nice that you worked out how to combine all together

Blaze-Drag In reply to Laviehead666 [2013-06-02 14:45:19 +0000 UTC]

Well naturally it had to make sense in at least one way, and even then I'm pretty sure that this sword would have to be at least 4 inches thick to fit all that.

DWN966KuruMan [2011-08-02 06:06:56 +0000 UTC]

Let me guess one of the inspirations for this weapon:
Final Fantasy VII Advent Children's Cloud Strife's First Tsurugi Fusion Swords

But, man; this weapon has even more weapons than his Fusion Swords put together, and this blade carries different weapons too. I like this. Faved it! Looks powerful and badass all in all!

well yeah, but it's hard to make a weapon like this and not mention Cloud at some point. Anyways, thanks! I like to try and take ridiculous concepts and make them even more ridiculous. I did mean to edit this to put in a chainsaw...

Blaze-Drag In reply to ryu3180 [2010-09-12 04:25:33 +0000 UTC]

hey, no need to get testy. In fact, I've never seen that movie, but I've seen how cloud got a cool sword that split apart, and I wanted to design one that did the same. I've been interested by the concept and have drawn several swords as such in my gallery. True, with this one there are some similarities, and there are differences, but that's the same with any sword based of that idea, of which there are many others by other people.

I've also been having the idea to come back and alter this one a bit to make it do some more things, and make it a little more original, and less symmetrical too. To be fair though, I think I'll add to the description that the idea was inspired by the sword from Advent Children, but was not directly based off of it.

Kobra-Kan [2010-09-10 01:52:40 +0000 UTC]

The concept is awesome and like ya already know it's not practical-UNLESS, the whole thing is supposed to be shared between a team and the whole sword isn't put together unless a big enemy needs it's ass handed to him.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Blaze-Drag In reply to Kobra-Kan [2010-09-10 03:12:00 +0000 UTC]

yea, that's kinda the idea I had when designing it. Either keep it separate unless there's a big guy who need's killing, or keep it whole and toss teammates emergency back-up weapons/shields when they need them.
