The Giovanni battle was so short and easy, so I decided to put in the rival battle, too.
And yes, they will be going to the Sevii Islands in the next part! Keep in mind that this is a major difference from what I did in game, since I didn't go there until AFTER the Elite 4. But pretty much everything in the next part will be plot-based and have almost nothing to do with in-game stuff, so there are no indicators of who will and won't survive the E4. There are plot-tastic reasons why I'm doing the Sevii Islands now.

I would just like to say that I really like that you draw Kiba more like the old version: more wolf/dog like. I believe it suits him better

I'm going through all of your comics (again) and I couldn't help but notice the panel where Spike is shocking Green's Gyarados. The Gyarados seems to be miscolored...or was it because it was being shocked? Sorry, just felt the need to point it out ^^'

It's very interesting to see how you juggle your own storyline and the actual gameplay 'storyline', none of them comes short and they're well weaved into each other. I don't know whether this was intentional or not, but since it's actually Bill who sends you there, he couldn't have known about Giovanni, so you've changed it to Blaine? Well solved, everything! I'm yet to find major plotholes, and I doubt there will be any. Just - how does Green know he can get past that barrier? If he tried already, he doesn't need to become the champion, because he already had access to the cave. If he hasn't tried - the other barrier doesn't exist anymore, so how can he know? Also, if Giovanni was already there and has confirmed Mew is gone, there's no reason for GMFO to go there. The only solution to that would be that Giovanni is bluffing, which still leaves us with the question how Green knows about his ability to get past the barrier.
But all in all it's great to read stories in which writers are putting so many thought (and even extend already existing ones instead of simply accepting them!)

Wow you really thought into this! First of all, yes Giovanni was bluffing. He just wanted Mew for his own gain (He didn't even know about Mewtwo. It's assumed that Mewtwo changed his memories so that he only knows about Mew and wants to capture it)
As for Green and the barrier, he simply knows that he can do it by pure instinct (because he's Mewtwo), which has been dormant up until now. And Cerulean Cave is guarded heavily. They will only let the Elite 4 and the Champion enter the cave. I suppose he could have done it by force, but he didn't want to take that risk.

Will there be an explanation about what happened with Mew? Mewtwo said it wasn't in the lab to begin with and that "Everything (...) about Mew was a lie".

Your good right, I wouldn't spoil plot of my ongoing stories as well (even though I'm often tempted to do so <.<). I'm interested in how you continue it, this part makes hungry for more!
By the way, how do you handle Mew's gender? Ambiguous, male or female? Some do it this way, some that way <.< Just curious because you said "his" clone, since Mew is referred to as a female by most people.

Really? I never noticed most people call Mew a "she".
Interesting that you pointed that out though. I pretty much don't think of any Pokemon genderless (even legendaries) except for ones like Voltorb or Magnemite. I don't know, I guess it's just because I'm a guy, and you know how most people default to their own gender when they give examples. Also Mewtwo is male, so I guess the Pokemon he was cloned from would be male.

oh the plot! yus! im planning on my nuzlocle and it will be a whole new spin on it.
i cant really remember what happened with Kira and his mons but i do remember that pokemin dying was caused by a diseased. gary knew kira here had somethin to do with it.

I have managed to read through all of your comics today. (Even the Platinum one) and I get to this and I'm stopped because the next one isn't up haha. I know they take time and I am going to watch. I honestly like Kiba and Blue as my favorites. I'm not sure if you named Kiba from Naruto or Wolf's Rain like you did with Blue but he is awesome regardless. I like the eyes you gave Blue too, very pretty. This is a long comment so I'm going to end it here. Good job with the comic

Green is certainly a unique case. He's a jerk, but he appears to have motives, stopping the disease and all.

I started liking the Bulbasaur line a lot more ever since I read Petty's LG Nuzlocke. Blastoise are....meh. They remind me too much of Bowser xD

He has some problems that's for sure. He just can't stand losing to Kira so many times, and I'm pretty sure Giovanni's messing with his mind.
As for easy battles, like Blaine said, the Elite 4 is no cakewalk. The Kanto Elite 4 is seriously overleveled compared to others.

Well he knows Aurora Beam, which isn't as powerful but it gets the job done, thanks to Kiba's massive Special Attack.
