Back then I used GIMP, but now I use Paint Tool SAI. As for hardware, it's always been a Wacom Intuos 4.

i just started a diamond nuzlocke (on my DS, just for fun, not gonna do a comic for that one)
and i got bidoof too, then i actually started liking him. BUT ONLY HIM. It's the only bidoof i'll ever love.
...but i killed him ;_;

yeah lol ...i was surprised, tho, i evolved him and bibarel can actually be pretty good. Helped me a lot in the first gym (basically defeated the leader on his own). Then he got a crit from a random battle...

I know that feeling!!! It happened to me!! Bertha, my Bibarell, was supposed to be an HM slave, but...once she had been taught rock smash to help against Roark, (Chimchar was my starter, and I didn't get a psyduck OR a machop)so I was over grinding her, and she evolved an learned water gun. She defeated Roark ALL BY HERSELF. (And took no damage!! Roark used leer and Stealth Rock for some reason...) And she saved my butt so many times after that... and she died...

I don't blame you for the face for having Bidoof. That would be my reaction too and probably will be when I do my Pearl Nuzlocke
