EDIT2I AM VERY EXCITED FOR THIS. Not for the contest, sort of...but I'm really really proud of this so far. Every new thing I paint is an improvement from the last thing I did, which excites me greatly.
The Avian is Ophiuchus. His design is so striking...the scales are fun to paint, but tedious~
This is going to make me sound like a creepy stalker I knooow...but while the deadline for the contest is May 25th, my goal is to have this done for Anime North next weekend. I'm hoping that Kilara will be there again this year because I want to give this to her.
...I swear I am not a creepy stalker. >.> Besides, it's her character, so I guess this belongs to her anyway~
IN THIS PHOTO YOU GET A CHAIR FOR SIZE COMPARISON. This painting is as tall as me. xD
My art teacher has ordered a pearlescent 'finish' paint that goes on clear but gives that nice shine to it, I just hope it gets here in time!
