Riptide lived in the lands of the Riptocs until the arrival of violent dragons. After a deluge of fire, she had to flee the Riptoc lands by sea.
It was there that she discovered her abilities with water.

After a long crossing, she arrived in Avalar where she found Ripto
Happy to find a fellow Riptoc in a place without dragons, she decided to become Ripto's assistant.
