One year ago today (not factoring in the international date line I've since moved over >_>
I posted the first EvoEverlasting page.That makes it EE's frist brithday.
I have to say- although I'm still not making pages that are as good as I'd like, I have improved somewhat since I first started. It's been a very educational experience thus far, and for all my bitching and moaning, a very enjoyable one too. I find it amuseing that when I first started this, I was sitting in a Psychology class in my last year at University, bored out of my skull. I had this story playing in my head, and wondered if starting it in October would be too early for a Christmas story. After all- December was still two months away- SURELY I'd be done by then.
Hahahahah.

A year later, and I haven't yet finished the story. I probably could have, had it been the ONLY thing I had to work on, but school was a bitch >.<
Anywho. EE's still going on- we're not stopping yet >
I've got the rest of this intro chapter to do, then a possible "interlude" then chapter two. Because I hate myself. But I looove Evo. :3

About this image: A nice reminder to myself why I don't do this comic in colour. Hoooly cow I hate colouring things >.O These are flat colours, but sort of a reference of what colours I think the outfits would be. I'm amused that almost all the X-men in the comic so far have been girls. We've had Scott and the Professor, but neither of them were in "winter" clothes, so I didn't include them in this. We've also got another dude-X-man coming up in about... two pages, but he will ALSO not be in winter clothes, so- just X-chicks. XD
I did NOT design all these outfits. Rogue, Storm, and Jean, in particular, all had their outfits ripped from the episode "On Angle's Wings." I more or less borrowed Rahne's from "Retreat." Wanda's is BASED on the outfit from "Toad the Witch and the Wardrobe" but is NOT that outfit as I forgot she had a cannon winter outfit (which I'm not convinced isn't just her uniform + scarf) when I first drew her in the comic XD

Indeed! That's actually a fault of my drawing style... I drew the head in, and then bent the legs, instead of slouching the shoulders. I'm such a hardass for getting the heights right, but then I fuck up shit like that ALL THE TIME XD
I think, according to The Official Height Charts Wanda's taller than him, though they're BOTH slouching in that XD
(I like to think Wanda's slouching in this picture, too, but the way her arms are folded sort of killed any chance of anyone being able to tell, other than meeeee

Congratulations on the big 'ol 100 count and holy moly, epic celebration pic! Lance's pose/expression is so incredibly ridiculous it's almost ricockulous, and I love you both for it. And as always, your tenacity in posing many many characters together in giant group pictures impresses.
D'aw, it doesn't matter that you still haven't finished. Real life happens and you sure as hell aren't contractually obligated to pump out pages on a regular basis. Sometimes fun projects snowball a bit and get away from us. For the record, SoulHuskers was supposed to be supposed to be much MUCH shorter. Like, seriously. >_> But I'm of the opinion that as long as you know where you're going with a story (and are not on one of them professional-type deadlines), you can meander a bit in how you get there. This...is possibly the same philosophy held by the writers of Lost. But you're better than that.

I don't mind that I haven't finished- I just find it amusing that I initially thought I would be done with this monster in two months, and it now looks like I'm going to be done with it in about a YEAR and two months. I had NO clue XD
But yeah. No deadlines, so I can meander. I try to keep scripted about five pages ahead of myself, so I can know how much I need to be cramming into each page, and if there are any visual clues I need to drop

EPIC. I love the cast shot! The colors are BEAUTIFUL and so COLORFUL! You kept the Brotherhood color-scheme of "drab" and the X-Men so nicely colorful. What an awesome line-up pic!
Lance reminds me a little of Aladdin...which makes me wanna jump his bones all the more.
Todd's ripped up v-neck sweater quite possibly has made my life.
Pietro's jacket-shoulders borrowed from "Dynasty" is always a joy to see. Really. I mean, really. OMG I just noticed Wanda has them too! Awwww, twins stick together. :*)

I give Pietro and Wanda SHOULDER PADS OF DOOM because I have such a bad habit of giving everyone huge shoulders. >_> Clearly, my brain is stuck in the 80's, and wants shoulder pads to be back in style XD
I think this one was more epic. This isn't even fully coloured, I left out a lot of detail stuff like makeup or jewlery or zippers and clasps XD

Regarding Jean, yes, her proportions are definitely a bit off. But then, so are everyone's. Jean's head is too big, Storm's is too small, Kitty's hand is too large (even after smallerizing it twice >_>
Jean is also wearing her pants WAY up over her bellybutton, but that's her retarded way of dressing.. certainly doesn't HELP my proportion issues though XD
