Description
Lyric crawled through the bushes, feeling the twigs scratch and snap against him. He had to move slowly to not make too much nose. Though up ahead, he clearly heard Revan snap and rustle her way through a vague tunnel she appeared to know quite well. He eventually had to wait for her to get out of earshot, but at least the path of broken branches and leaves was easy enough to follow. Grunting, he continued to scoot along, painfully slow so she wouldn't hear him coming, at least not yet. He didn't want to scare her into running away, that would just get her lost out here. And he didn't want to risk that so close to nightfall. He wondered more and more as he crawled along what the heck Revan would be doing out here so late. What was so interesting to risk going alone into the forest this far from the beaten path?Up ahead, the bushes thinned, and he heard something. He paused, realizing that someone was singing. He gasped, crawling closer and pushing apart the leaves to spot Revan standing tall upon the rock. And to his shock, she stood there in the sunlight and had her mouth open, and her voice was so incredibly strong.
“Well now I’m far from home, and no Wyngro seemed to care at all~!”
Lyric was taken aback by her lyrics, though he was struck with curiosity. Despite how happy she seemed to be because she was singing, she looked so beat down.
“Oh now I’ve lost it all, no one can seem to hear me cry!”
If only she knew, but all the same, Lyric had to stop himself from running out there and hugging her, unable to explain why he felt such a need to be there for her.
“Oooooh, and now my fears are crushing meeeee~”
Well that just wouldn't do, Lyric tensed up, digging his claws into the ground.
“And to my family~”
Lyric paused, overcome with emotions just sitting and hiding from Revan who looked like she absolutely needed someone to be there.
“I guess that I really am a mistake…”
Revan didn't intend on staying out much later. With everything that happened at the dojo, no matter how much Saffron comforted her, she just needed to sing. It sucked, she could barely speak to her best friend, and even then, her bad speech just did nothing to ease her troubles. Yet singing clicked. When she sang her voice seemed to cease being hoarse, and she didn't stutter or trip, and words flowed easily for her.
As she finished her few verses, she sighed, not feeling any better. She was just on edge. Just as she was about to jump off her rock, something suddenly jumped out of the bush she came through.
“Oooooh~”
She gasped at the pink wyngling, having only seen him once before. Imedietly she felt her throat tighten up from shock and nerves of being in front of someone else. He smiled at her, as if trying to comfort her.
“Heeeey, sister~ I know it's hard sometimes but I’ll be there for you~”
Revan could only stare as he walked closer to her. His voice was really pretty and she felt self conscious that he had been listening to her.
“And I, know, because I have also lost it all~”
He placed his claws on the rock, standing up to look at her.
“And oooooh, now my fears come crashing down, but with you, at least we don't have to face them alone.”
