This photo stands as a metaphor for the long, uncertain, and uncomfortable journey into the digital world - "Cyberspace." The RGB keyboard stands as a symbol of cyberspace while the shallow depth of field creates more uncertainty the further back you go into the photo. As the keyboard coalesces into the dark background, it creates the effect of a never ending path - a long journey. The 3 keys at the bottom/front of the photo that are in focus creates an uncomfortable feeling to the viewer - as if the object is too close to their face - mirroring the discomfort people sometimes feel when going into cyberspace.

I took and edited this photo on the same day: 11 Feb 2023. Adjustments were all made in Affinity Photo 1.10.
