“Help the founder, I got Aiden!” Lukas yelled looking at me. I nodded quickly rushing to help the found up. “Don’t worry I got you!” I said pulling her up. She muttered a quick thank you, when horror struck every part of me. Lukas left out a loud scream as he was shoved over the edge. “LUKAS!” I screamed in panic watching my friend being shoved over the edge. Before having any time to react I was kicked off the floating empire along with the founder.

We both screamed as we started falling, the screaming eventually subsided seeing how much distance we had until land. “This is all your fault!” Isa yelled glaring at me. But I had barely heard her, my eyes scanned the area for any signs of Lukas. No sight of him, but I did see land! “Water!” I yelled in relief. Lukas must’ve landed in the water, he had to! “Aim for the water!” I yelled as I made my body head towards the water. “Can we make it?!” Isa yelled following my lead. “We have to try!” I yelled adjusting my position to land correctly. Flashback of me and Petra jumping off the bridge filled my mind, land in the water, not on it.

Relief filled my body as we landed into crystal clear water, we were safe! “This is…amazing.” I heard the founder whisper as we swam to shore. I climbed up onto the shore, scanning the area for any signs of Lukas. “Lukas! Lukas?!” I yelled as I walked around the area. “Jesse…?” A faint voice asked. Hope filled me hearing it was Lukas’s voice, until my eyes gazed on him. Blood. Crimson leaking from a fresh wound that rested on his hip. “Lukas!” I yelled running to him quickly. Isa gasped and walked over.

I knelt down carefully taking his hand off the wound to observe it. “Aiden… was stronger then I thought…he got dirty a pulled o-out a sword…got me bad…” Lukas rasped weakly. “Lukas save your strength. We’ll find Ivor and get you help.” I said about to stand up when he grabbed my hand. “Jesse…ya can’t…we don’t…have enough t-time…” Lukas struggled with his words causing my heart to crumble. “Don’t talk like that! We’ll get you help, I promise!” I said holding his hand with both of mine. “Jesse…”, Lukas looked at the Founder “You have to help her…y-you…need to help those people…” He looked at me with a serious look. “No, what about you?!” I asked, still holding his hands. 

“I don’t m-matter..! What matters…I-is gettin’ back up there and stopping Aiden…If he wins…this’ll a-all be for nothin…” I stared at him shocked. He was completely disreguarding his life!

“NO! Your my friend, I can’t leave you!” I yelled at him. “Jesse…bein a hero…is about makin the right choices…and havin to sacrifice one…to save many…” He said wheezing weakly. His left hand was laced with his own blood, part of me was surprised he hadn’t bled out yet. “No…I can’t lose you…I haven’t… I haven’t told you…” I hiccuped, unable to finish my sentence. “Jesse…” He whispered hushing me, he grabbed his free hand, placing it on my cheek. I cupped it with one of my hands, staring into his dulling sky blue eyes. “I..I f-feel the same way…also…” He stopped looking ready to pass out. “Also what..?” I asked, my voice cracking. “Tell the others…it’s been great working with them…” Hw gave me a weak smile, his skin getting paler by the second. In despair, I leaned forward pressing my lips against his. Lukas was taking aback by this, but didn’t pull away. Honestly, he was happy Jesse made the first move. Tears streamed down my eyes as I pulled away.

As I pulled away…his hand slipped from my grasp. Lukas seemed to stop moving, I shook him…no response. “L-Lukas?” I asked in worry. No reply. I placed ,y hand on his face hoping to get a reply…but I was given was coldness, all the warmth drained from his body. I held his face with my hands. “Lukas! Lukas wake up! Please!” I begged tears streaming down my eyes. “Jesse…” Isa muttered, but I ignored her. Ellegaard and Rueben had already died, I couldn’t lose Lukas to! “LUKAS! PLEASE WAKE UP!” I sobbed hugging his still form. “Please stay with me!!!”
