EDIT: Thank you all to have pointed out that I totally screwed over on Kyle's name. I wrote this originally around two in the morning. So... sorry for fellow Kyle fans who had to read that.

Well. I saw the premiere of Fanboy and Chum Chum on The Nicktoons Network...

And... all I have to say is... HOT DAMN I LOVE IT! I'm not too much of a fan of the whole entire show just yet, but I LOVE the production and the heart that goes into it. This is definitely raising the bar with 3D animation on TV. I love seeing the production drawings. I also just love how this whole series is chalk FULL of glorious parodies and references of all medias. I think this show would be ten times better 2D. But it is what it is.

[WARNING! BABBLING BROOK AHEAD!]

My favorite character has to be Kyle. And no it's not just because of the accent. Or the TOTALLY awesome Harry Potter and Evil Dead references about his character! I love Jamie Kennedy's voice acting so far. And the fact that he's evil, misunderstood, and hates FB and CC.

Now I'm not saying I don't like FB and CC... I just don't like CC. Fanboy is great. Chum Chum is... Chum Chum. He gives off the feeling of being the typical output of all the comedy relief on the show. If he can prove himself in later episodes I might consider him a good character. But for now he's my least fave.

Anyway... Sure, the show might be kiddie for someone my age- but I'm really excited for it. Plus the fact they have a new voice actor (new as in, first time VOICE acting) for the main role- is totally shocking to me. And he's fantastic too! When I first saw advertisements I was worried that Jeff Garcia (Sheen from Jimmy Neutron) was going to voice him. Fanboy just came off as a lot like Sheen. No offense to Jeff, but I'm glad they picked David.

WHOA! Back to Kyle. So as the episode Wizboy was premiering I instantly grew to like Kyle. In the aftermath of the premiere I drew Kyle. So in drawing him I suddenly associated Kyle's head with Mandark's head.

I started to realize how much Kyle and Mandark have in common, and how much they're different. They're both misunderstood, they're both professionals of their work, they're both antagonists. The main difference being that Mandark is a man of science- while Kyle's a wizard.

Then I thought it'd be fun to have them together in a picture so... ta-dah!

... BEWARE! Next cross-over might be DEADLY because it's full of EPIC PROPORTIONS!! ... As soon as I get to drawing it.
