Description
This is the final proof that I actually need some sort of pressure to start drawing or painting - this was done only to keep me from studying for my exams.
I am a lazy person, I know. But painting big cats and galaxies is so relaxing... (:
The photo is kinda crappy, I'm going to upload one with a higher quality later.
Mixed media - water colour, pastels and acrylics on paper, this took maybe about 2 or 3 hours, I didn't even use a reference for the lion.

I actually tried to do this with a reference, but already as a sketch it didn't work, so I just doodled the face freehand.
I was kind of surprised that it turned out so well, because when I do this I usually end up with horrible anatomy and one eye 10cm higer than the other. :'D
The facial features are maybe a little too close to a tiger - I've just drawn too many of them.

Ich liebe solche stilisierten Aquarellbilder, deswegen wollte ich das mit dem Verlaufenlassen und so endlich mal selbst ausprobieren...
Und gerade die Kombi aus Realismus und abstrakteren Elementen gefällt mir echt gut, in die Richtung werde ich auf jeden Fall noch mehr machen. ^-^

Wow, Wahnsinn. Wie kriegst du die Farben so gut hin? Mir gefällt, dass die Farben nach unten verlaufen. Der Tiegerkopf besteht praktisch nur aus der Zusammensetzung der verschiedenen Farben. Ich freu mich schon auf viele weitere so geniale Bilder!
