practicing on more complicated outfit
self critique:
- lack shading on the hair
- the right collar is too wide n the line is too bold
- not enough contrast, try to fix it here-> Zhou Yu - reshading
- forget to add folds on outfit from waist below

Lovely work!! I love the expression because I can read it so many ways - calm, cat-like/lying in wait, maybe a little 'come and try' in there.
I became a fan of Zhou Yu from the NES game Destiny of an Emperor (and Lord, I am really showing my age here lol). How excited was I when he showed up in a much more modern game franchise?!

Ooh, cool! I really like his pose here; he looks so confident and cool (something about his gaze, in particular).
I love the subtle cloth folds in his clothing. It works very nicely.
Some critique:
-I think his waist is a little too low and his belt can be moved more "up." Otherwise, it looks like his torso is really stretched, especially compared to his head, which looks small in comparison.
-His face is a little too triangular? Then again, I've noticed Dynasty Warriors always have those pointed faces, like in anime, so it may just be a matter of having a different style. But I think his jaw can be a little thicker.
-His eyes are not "even." His left eye (on our left) is slightly higher and is pointing/tilted a different angle than the right eye.
-Adding some more highlights to his hair would be great, though I think you've done a great job already on his hair. It looks so smooth!

yup, zhou yu is a calm warrior full of confidence but he lose it to zhuge liang
zhuge liang was one of the indirect reasons behind zhou yus death, too bad zhou yu had to die in such young age
as uve noticed in dynasty warriors ( especially games from KOEI ) most of the characters come with pointed face, if u r not used to it u will get disturbed of how zhang he, mitsuhide akechi, zhao yun, kojiro sasaki looks, they have thin n very pointed face hahaaa
also u will find cao ren, xiahou yuan, xu shu, lu bu n many more warriors have bulky body with small head, so i may say its the style that KOEI has for their characters n im already used to it since ive played the games for years hehee
about the eyes, haaay....its always hard to draw balanced eyed
n actually i wanna redraw his hair like guo jias hair but laziness strikes oh well, just uploaded it then
but hey, maybe one day i will, who knows.... zhou yu before n after hehee
