Description
Inspired by an angel painting I saw at my friend's place . I'm not quite pleased with her face
... Could have been alot more better.Used watercolours, color pencils and an ink pen (to sign my name). The painting is huge and couldn't fit on the scanner, my signature didn't even show on the painting..hehes.. I tried taking a pic but the camera wasn't grasping the details that well... Had to use the photoshop to further enhance the details that the scanner didn't catch. The painting looks alot more nicer in real life!

i know what you mean by scanning paintings, it makes me sick so i stopped.

yet again. the shine n effect u put on the hair is simply marvelous. n no i dont think there's nething wrong with the face. looks perfectly fine to me. wings and backgound colored really well.

i'd like to reply to ur statement ="my sketch will never turn out as good as yours" by saying; even though i dont agree with what you say, i will defend to the death your right to say it. in other words, i dont agree, but i dont wana argue either. end of.

I think the face does not satisfy you completely because the nose is a little too "in the middle" if compared to eyes mouth and chin.
if you move it to the right just a little bit, then you fix a lot of it. (not that you have to do it..
just keep it in mind for your next one!
actually I wouldn't touch this one:it's got it's own personality already and I like it.
I think I'm entiteled to like or dislike everybodyelse's work but I don't feel I am experienced enough (will I ever be?)
to give guidelines to another "artist". I actually like A LOT your paintings
and I'm sure that as long as you follow your instinct you'll never do wrong
there will be highs and lows but hey, it's that way everywhere

Very nice, good colouring on her skin too, (one thing i'm sure i'll never get right). I like how you filled the spce around her with the flowers, you can tell you've put a lot of effort into this.

hehehe...the sketch took me pretty long.. 2 days .. i don't know..for me the basis (i.e. the sketch) has to be perfect..then only i can start adding life to my drawings... The coloring took me about......... (the right wing took me an hour..all the smudging n stuff) and the rest of the drawing....... hmm...i guesss it was done in 'bout 4-5 hours... i was up until 5am working on it.... oh yea.. i remember.. i had a hard time figuring out the colour of her lipstick..lol.... i don't do the face until the background n the hair is done..
aw i'm sure u'll get the skin tone right..aalll you need is the right shade of color pencils

I spent the longest while on the drawing..........i dont kknow.. it could have taken me 2 days the msot..but cuz of studies/work..i dragged this thingy on for like... 6 months.. i finished the sketch in one day........ n like 4/5 months later..colored the wings... then a month later when i was done with finals.. i stayead up all night to finish the rest!........
