Sybaal- An arabic name, Meaning: Eyes with long lashes
Used almost all sorts of paints on this drawing ..acrylics, water colour.. black colour pencil....Used watercolours for the first time..(the background)... Luved them! Hoping to use them alot more in future!

the details were gone when i used the scanner..had to take a pic n had to use photoshop to bring out the colors n enhance the detail.... luks much much better in reality ....

i'm not sure WHICH arabic language.. i think its probably fusha (not sure 'bout the spellings)

Err,,, I meant the country... Umm, I live in the Arabian Gulf,,, but I've never heard of this word before! 
There is only One Arabic language, but the "accents" varies from one country to the other! ^_^ It could be in one of the northern countries in Africa?! because they're not really speaking Arabic!! and mixed with French? ... Blah, I don't know much about that anyways!

(: ...no probs.. i used to hold the same belief before... but last yr i learned that there are actually TWO kinds of Arabic languages.. one is AAMILA... the regular original language spoken in most countries..the other kind is FUSHA ..the language in which Quran is written.. i heard thats its only spoken in Yemen........by the way i browsed thru an arab name list (for muslims) n i came across this name...really liked it...n then i drew this potrait... i usually pick my titles before i begin my drawings....

That will still be a single Arabic language!! The "fus-ha" is the 'mother' language as we can say,,, just like the "English-English"!!! It IS the one "The Holy Quran" is written in... but the other is just the 'slang' or the "aammiya" (for the pronunciation) language as in which we use to speak! and that's like just a derivative from the original?! 
Anyways,,, It's really a nice idea that you can come out with a beautiful drawing after taking the name first! Well, it's the same - if you look at it - when you draw something on an idea, then give it a name, but this is even harder(?) to accomplish! It's more like an assignment, which I've never had to do, except maybe for once, a long time ago & on my own account! (haven't studied arts!)

Watercolors are always fun... ever tried watercolor colored pencils? Very fun to use. I love the bright colors and you put very much detail into this, especially in her hair... the only thing that I think could possibly be off is... her eyes look a little too close, but I could aslo be wrong. I'm sure that's how the reference looked, right? Also, maybe the cloth draped over her shoulder could have a little more detail, because the rest of the picture is so dark in comparison. (It's all still better than anything I could do!)

No..i will definitely give ém a try in future. Thank you so much for ur comments n critiques... i was tryna give the eyes a 'closed' look... the shawl on her shoulder was the last thing i worked on...n i had absolutely no patience n wanted to just get over this drawing..hehez..thats prolly why it turned out so bad....neways..thanks once again for observing it so well n for ur comments...really appreciate it
