Hey, wow I just found your work on tumblr the other day and saw your process for this! Im really curious how you do the "colour mood" /second step. Your work is gorgeous

Oh that one is tricky to explain, for this pictrue I knew I wanted a pink and violet color scheme, I knew that the skin was to be pale, hair black and purple, flowers blue, etc. So it was just about working out where the light comes from, what is lit and what is not. And then I messed around with colors to figure out what tints should be in the shadow and what tints appear in the lit areas to add more contrast and atmosphere to the image.
