Physical Description:
Mellan is a somewhat lanky cub, with long fur on his chest and tail but otherwise generally slim proportions. He has long cheek fluff, and a tuft of golden for atop his head. In the winter, his coat will dull and change to a nice, cool gray color, with streaks of silver. During the summer, it heats up to a brown with red and orange undertones, and streaks of gold. Mel has two different-toned eyes, one a bright gold and the other a sky blue.

Mellan is a cocky cub, easily self-important and full of himself. As far as he is concerned, he is the best cat at everything- but no need to prove it! He does not enjoy contests, especially when he loses. He'd rather everyone just accept he was the best, instead of trying to prove him wrong.

Flippant-
Lani is a dismissive, casual cat at the best of times. He's very aloof. Mellan is generally an irresponsible, carefree cat. He is not the type of cat you'd want to put in charge of anything, as his policy is… rather Laissez-faire.

Loyal- "I'm with you. Always."
Mellan is a very loyal cat, once he has formed a deep connection, or a bond of trust with someone, he will stick by them indefinitely. He is a steadfast companion, and would not go against his close friends for the world. He values relationships over most other things.

Strong-willed-
Mellan is a determined, almost stubborn cat. He is not one to change his mind easily, and cannot be convinced without a lot of trouble. Mel is not an easy victim to manipulation, steadfast in his morals and true to his heart.

History:
Mellan was born on the summer solstice to Dehlia and Tempestas of Lightning Empire. Being a part of their fifth litter, the two know what they're doing regarding cubs. He seems a good mix of his parent's personalities, inheriting Dehlia's confidence and stubbornness with none of her competitiveness, and inheriting Tempestas's loyalty and strong-will with far less of his empathy. He has his own twist to him- a personality strong as(and sometimes as abrasive as) a rock, and a somewhat selfish, mocking tone to him. Lani is rather a handful, though at least he's not wandering off. Alongside his parents, Mellan will be around Tondra, Electron, and Decibel, his older siblings. He has heard of more family- much more- but he doesn't know any personally, as they have all either left Lightning in the past, or were never there to begin with.
