Description
Holy crud. It's been THREE YEARS since the last Counter Strike Collection submission, which would probably explain why these are so much better. What is the Counter Strike Collection?
An excuse to draw a whole bunch of guns. I don't even like Counter Strike!
These are the assault rifles. And here's the previous entries in the series:

Mind if I use those as a template for an original rifle I dreamt up?

Your nationality and military service don't mean you know anything. For example, in the Vietnam era, American soldiers are the ones who perpetuated the myth that the M16 could fire the Viet Cong's 7.62mm rounds and that Mattel manufactured their rifles.
Β
You may be right, strictly speaking, that it was never officially named "AK-47", but the original production model WAS designated with its model year, 1947, and colloquialized as AK-47, but you're still wrong that this is an AKM;Β I drew thisΒ with a milled receiver, not stamped like the AKM's.

You know, this is actually really cool, weapons.
What did you use to make this?

Thanks! I personally use Paint Shop Pro 8 because I'm really familiar with the interface and it has layers, but the same thing can be done with MS Paint. Anything with a 1-pixel brush will work. Flood fill and box select tools help though.

FAMAS, M16?, AK-47, AUG-HBAR? Am I right in saying those? And what are the other 2?

Blick-Blanks In reply to EPICFERRARIGUY [2012-05-17 14:05:30 +0000 UTC]
In order from top to bottom: FAMAS, Galil, M4A1 (rather than M16, but close), AK47, AUG (long barrel, I can't remember if it's an HBAR, honestly ), and SG552.

SG552 is actually Sig552 made by Heckler and Koch. You know a lot though.

Blick-Blanks In reply to Wrath-and-Wesley [2012-07-05 06:00:52 +0000 UTC]
Nope, the SG552 was made by SIG, or Swiss Arms nowadays. It has nothing to do with H&K. Where did you hear that?

I heard it at a German Gunstore in Philadelphia.

Nice made
But i think that the front of the SIG552 Krieg should be a little longer

Blick-Blanks In reply to KarateNissen [2011-12-08 15:20:19 +0000 UTC]
You're probably right, though oddly I used real measurements and specifications to determine the scale, but it still came out a little bit off. The AK and Galil barrels may be a bit too long as well.

Correct on 1, 3, 4, and 5. 2 is an IMI/IWI Galil, and 6 is a Sig SG552. This was made before the ACR existed.

You need to do some of the weapons that are being tested by the military, like the m416, xm8.
π: 0 β©: 1
Blick-Blanks In reply to Mr-Sovar [2008-09-05 15:06:29 +0000 UTC]
Assuming you mean the US military, they gave up on the XM8 a long time ago.
I also already made it a long time ago. [link]
And, wow, you learn something new every day. I didn't even know we were testing the HK416, much less already deployed it (Delta Force, DEVGRU, and some other SOCOM units, according to Wikipedia.)

Blick-Blanks In reply to dogpirate2 [2008-07-21 17:56:32 +0000 UTC]
Not sure what you mean. Are you just talking about knowing about the different guns, or knowing what they look like and being able to draw them accurately?
The former is due to just spending a LOT of time reading about them. The latter, I can't, I had reference pictures. (Although at this point I can pretty much accurately draw an M4 or an AK47 without reference do to constant exposure to them.)
