My entry to the Ponyo contest [link] but before it's cropped and fitted into the template. I am SUPER PROUD of this picture. I think it's unbelievably badass.
I noticed a lot of the entries were a) movie clips fitted onto the template, or b) fanart in a completely different style from the movie, but of the main characters. This kinda made me want to do something that we DIDN'T see in the movie, but in a recognizable-as-Miyazaki style, as this is supposed to be an advertisement. I was immediately entranced with the 160x575 format, and saw LOTS of possibility.
And here we are.
On a plus note, I figured out a way to scan the awkward sized watercolour paper without having to fidget and adjust it infinitely, like I had to do with the Sailor Moon contest entry. And it was so easy, I'm not going to say how, 'cause I will be laughed at. I am a nub.
