Yes she really dissolves here. And there're two possible reasons 4 that. First she could suffer of anorexia or the water she is swimming in is no water - maybe it's a kind of acid liquid. Anyway she really looks shocking, especially cuz she seems to be more and more just poor skin and bones. Maybe that's your way to criticize beauty ideals, or your intention is to show the process of starving life. But maybe it's nothing of all and this is just a cool drawing. Anyway it's very nice structured and the intended exaggerations ( e.g. the extra long neck, the very thin arms the visible ribs, the soft muscles ) are well realized. The facial expression emphazises the "dissolution effect" a lot and it seems that the water as a sign of life is the place were life ends ( that's nearly like the yin and yang theme ). Again a good piece.
