I knew someday I would get around to drawing this. Pictured is the beloved Edward Scissorhands from, of course, Tim Burton's: Edward Scissorhands. I had at last found the movie in widescreen yesterday and snatched it off the shelf, after seeing Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (which was such a disappointment, by the way T.T). I finally get to watch it anytime I want, and boy do I adore the film. No matter what anyone says, Edward is a strikingly adorable character with a personality that touched me. The fact that he was dubbed as an 'awkward artist' had me thinking of my younger days. He wanted to belong... but he couldn't. Wonderful stuff.Yay to traditional art.
Rest in peace, Vincent Price. We'll miss you. May/27/1911 - Oct/25/1993.

So the other day I decided I should rewatch Edward Scissorhands so I did. The very next day I had a huge project and Ms. Musick let me borrow 3 pairs of scissors for Gabby, me and whoever else. At the end of the day, I put my fingers in all the holes and ran around saying "I'm Edward Scissorhands!" Ms. Musick laughed so hard! But anyway, you really captured him. It looks like pen...pen? What talent!

Stunning drawing... so beautifully done and your drawing style just so perfectly suits him. I love the film too, and especially Edward... one of most unique and touching characters I've ever seen in any movie.
I have once started to draw Edward too... but never finished it, yet... maybe some day. Not an easy one to capture on the paper, I think.

This reminds me somehow of the sort of illustration you might see in a 19th century novel. Which fits rather nicely with the subject matter, really.
