I wonder if Rai was put on a diet because it was getting too heavy to sit on her shoulders. I mean, wouldn't the whole "perch on your shoulders" dynamic be a little hard with a Raichu because of being so much bigger and heavier than the previous evolution?

Raichu weighs 66lbs... Not impossible, but certainly awkward unless its in a piggyback carry or straddling both shoulders like its riding you.
