New Character and Work in Progress!

TL;DR:

Razzle Dazzle (or Razz) is a stage magician that doesn’t use unicorn magic for her tricks. She’s bubbly but craves attention. She uses her unicorn magic to create light shows for her performances.

Of course with my personal style (and her hair) she wouldn’t really fit into the show. Maybe one day I’ll do a more show-style version of her. ^^ Tried to make a more FIM style friendly version(but this version is my preferred)

⋆Basics⋆

Name: Razzle Dazzle
Nicknames: Razz or Razzy
Age: Adult (Slightly older than Main Six)
Gender: Mare
Race: Unicorn
Current Residence: Recently moved to Las Pegasus to further her career as a stage magician and performer.
Job: Magician and Entertainer
Special Talent: Entertaining. Razzy is a natural in front of a crowd and uses her unicorn magic only as special effects. Creating lights or fog to accentuate her performances.
Voice: I imagine Razz sounds something like Sardonyx from Steven Universe Youtube example here. Sort of a more laid back upperclass Canterlot accent. She probably acts a lot like Sardonyx. Lots of jokes and show-boating but in a playful way.

Coat Color: Light Blue
Mane/Tail Color: Navy Blue. She has it dyed pink and yellow with bright yellow highlights.
Eye Color: Deep Magenta
Cutie Mark: A yellow star with rounded points, two yellow dots above it and one yellow dot below. With rays of white light shining behind it.
Physique: Tall with long legs like most Canterlot unicorns. She's slightly taller than the main six, approximately the same height as the Flim Flam Brothers. Her fur is a bit more fluffy than most ponies with feathered fetlocks and tufts of fur gathering on her legs and chest.
Additional:
Razzy dyes her mane and tail, feeling like her boring blue locks were far too plain. She also has a habit of adding glitter to them, which tends to spread. The glitter is great for adding a bit of extra sparkle her shows but ponies rarely appreciate the glitter that often trails behind her.

When she was growing up, Razzy used to be embarrassed by her extra floof but now that she's older she appreciates how it makes her more unique.

Her necklace was given to her soon after she got her cutie mark by her big brother. She absolutely adores it and rarely takes it off.

Mother: Sapphire Song. Sapphire was a talented jazz singer. She was well known for her smooth, sultry voice and kind heart. After her set at a bar or pub she would often help the staff clean, it's just how she was. She did have a bit of a temper if someone was being pushy or a bully. She settled down to start a family but still liked to sing for her new audience- her children. Her cutie mark was an old-fashioned microphone with three blue music notes surrounding it.

Father: Buzzword. A outgoing motivational speaker, Buzzword was full of energy and optimism which he tried to instill in his children. Very supportive to his family, Buzzword often had to travel due to his job. But, he tried to always bring back exciting stories and fun souvenirs. His cutie mark is a speech bubble with an exclamation point inside.

Siblings: Jazz Matazz. Jazz is much more reserved and introverted than his sister. As his name might imply Jazz is a jazz musician. Though his favored instrument is the saxophone he also can play the harmonica. He is very close to his little sister and is very protective of her. His cutie mark is a saxophone with three blue music notes coming out of it.

Strengths:Razz is a very outgoing and charismatic pony. She tends to be optimistic and cheerful. Razz is incredibly articulate and loves wordplay, creating funny and witty monologs during her shows. She tends to be able to find out of the box solutions to problems. She’s good at cheering up ponies with a joke, story or a magic trick.
Weaknesses:Despite her normally cheerful nature, Razz can slip into a grumpy and depressive mood if her rather sensitive ego is damaged. She craves the spotlight and can be pouty if she’s not getting attention. She easily charms ponies but has a difficult time keeping friends. She can sometimes be a bit pushy and tends to cheat at card games.

Likes:Learning new magic tricks, hanging out with her big brother, performing, window shopping, bubbly drinks, cute food, and anything star shaped and/or sparkly.
Dislikes:Being ignored, getting dirty, physical labor, waiting, train rides (she gets terrible motion sickness), and criticism.

Hopes and Dreams: Razzy hopes to one day be known throughout all Equestria as a great illusionist and magician. She hopes that one day she can perform for the Princess or at the Grand Galloping Gala.

Hometown: Canterlot

History: Razz was born to middle classed unicorn parents in a modest home in Canterlot. Only a few years after Razzy was born, her mother came down with a terrible fever and sadly passed away. Her father was heartbroken but did his best to keep his chin up for his children. Though Razzy missed her mother she was still happy. She adored her big brother, Jazz Matazz, and idolized her father, Buzzword. She did her best to keep them happy despite the loss they all shared.

After his wife passed, Buzzword relocated his family to his hometown of Manehatten. Unfortunately Buzzword's work kept him away from home a lot so Jazz took on a paternal role for his little sister most of the time, causing him to maybe grow up a little too fast.

Razz on the other hoof seemed to mature a lot slower than her brother. She was the last in her class to still be a blank flank and she had very little talent with her magic. Because she couldn’t really do much with her unicorn magic, Razz grew fond of sleight of hoof tricks instead. She quickly became known for it at school, impressing her classmates with making things disappear, guessing their cards, and pulling bits from thin air- all without using her horn.

She relished the attention and decided she wanted to perform an act in front of an entire crowd! The school was holding a talent show and Razzy was the first to sign up. She practiced for weeks, often staying up late into the night. To practice without her brother getting on to her for being up so late, she would often try to use her unicorn magic to create light spells- unknowingly practicing her unicorn magic as well. Of course, her brother saw the lights shining from under her door but he had never seen his little sister so dedicated and focused before. He decided he would let her breach bedtime for a few days.

Backstage, the night of the show, Razz was the only pony that had not even the slightest hint of stage fright. She knew all of her routine like the back of her hoof and couldn’t wait to show off her new tricks! Her name was called and she took a deep breath, ready to step out on stage. But, suddenly, the lights in the school all went dark! She looked to her teachers but they seemed just as baffled.

“The storm must have cut the power.” Her homeroom teacher said sadly. “I’m sorry, my little ponies, we’ll have to cancel the show.”

Razz fought the urge to cry. She had worked so hard for this! She refused to give up. She slowly stepped out on stage. In the inky blackness she could hear the teachers and parents muttering. She cleared her throat to get their attention.

“Mares and Gentle Colts!” She announced, her voice cutting through the darkness. “Thank you for your patience. The show is just about to begin! “

Razz squeezed her eyes shut, mustered all of her concentration and hard work into the thought of creating a light. If only big enough to illuminate the stage. She just needed this chance to show what she had worked for.

The crowd began to applaud and as Razz opened her eyes she saw a single spot light beaming down. For a moment, she thought the power must have returned but she realized that it wasn’t coming from the control room- it was coming from a white orb that followed her horn! She had done it!

Filled with confidence Razz continued her show, managing to keep her spot light focused on her the entire time! As the tricks became more complex, the audience applauded more and more after each one. Razz reveled in the rush it gave her. Grinning from ear to ear, as her presentation came to an end, she extinguished her spot light in a brilliant flash! As the audience covered their eyes from the light, Razz slipped behind the curtain, seemingly disappearing. One final trick. The audience burst into a final applause and Razz’s heart felt as if it were trying to beat out of her chest. She couldn’t stop smiling.

She managed to help her classmates by illuminating their acts as well, effectively making the talent show a great success. It wasn’t until she returned home that she noticed that she had gotten her cutie mark! She had the best night of her life and from then on she was going to do whatever she had to be a great entertainer.

As she got older Razz took to the streets, performing for tips at crowded markets or festivals all across Equestria. She sometimes goes to schools to entertain the foals and on rare occasions that they are in the same town, she'll pair her shows with her brother's musical accompaniment. While she is moderately successful she hopes to one day perform for the Royal Princess- maybe even at the Grand Galloping Gala! But, for now she's happy as long as she has an audience and can bring home a few bits to help her family.
