Description Birthday gift to my BF Gareth of his D&D Eberron character, Hunter, an early model warforged unit that thinks he's a predatory canine, due to having spent the last 20 years in the wilderness, getting a few wires crossed.

PS: Yes, it's a robot/construct and it's in Fantasy, because there's nothing more fantastic than Dungeons and Dragons.

Hunter (c) Gareth Wheatley

(Metal texture from [link] , and I think the wood grain was from a wood paneling site...)

"I saw this and thought of you."
"Really?"
"Yeah. A deranged Mickey Mouse Warforged Ranger eating a dire rat."
"Awww."

I had to share this with some of my friends. I love it. It really does feel like a moment at the table.

D&D and Pathfinder are one of the only things I will drop everything for. <3

My partner had never played KOTOR when he designed the character up, and generally, his design is based on the warforged units as modeled in the Eberron books. Though I am at fault for suggesting his designation be HK9 (Hunter-Killer [Unit] Nine), in part to reference canine, and also as a nod to HK-47, whose pathological homicidal mania was marvelously entertaining

My favorite was the fact that when he was in your party and you were talking to anyone, be it beggar, cop, or king of the world, every ten seconds he'd ask you a simple question.

"My I blast him now master?" then you could respond with a simple, "Yes, yes you may."

It was hard to find friends with him...

Oh my god.
That's awesome! That thing is a player character? How does that even work? XD
Sweet colouring job, the eyes draw me right in! And for some reason the wood paneling.

Oh dear...this brings back memories of my own Ebberon campaign! Though, the warforged we encountered weren't much better *smarter* than this!

The stories that can be told from D&D players! And the picture is very nice too!

Really nice lighting here. Your shadows are so velvety and beautiful. I love that you captured a dark atmosphere and still managed to put in drop shadows.
Beautiful colors and textures all around. Cute dialog too ^^

In my d20 campaign, we only had to worry about the fact that our 'arty' was a band of self-interested cut-throats with the morals of a doorknob. Oh, good times.
