I just really wanted to draw the Tengu, because no words can describe how much I love that thing.I used sharpie, markers, and colored pencils.

I don't even know this character but I love the picture for its violent firy red-orange-black contrast. It looks definitely very villainous. Another eye-catcher was the dynamic pose, and your cartoony sharp style to stress it with.
Did you draw this on black paper or did you paint all this black too?

I don't have much experience with black paper, I only know it looks very neat to draw on it with white pencils (for example practicing lighting on it, the opposite of shading I mean). Not sure if other colored tools work as good. Black tends to swallow a lot of color.
