Description My Steampunk Guns from before, this time in the Sp colors. Bronze/Copper/Brass seem to be the most common metals used in Sp stuff so thats what I used.

Considering the top one is a rifle, the ornaments/blade tend to get in the way of the hand that would carry the weight of the stock and barrell. Also, I would tilt the handle more so whe using it as a sword, you wouldn't have to force your wrist into an awkward position. Just imagine holding the rifle as you would a sword, you'll see what I mean.

For the bottom one, I don't really see where the trigger hand would be able to grip the stock other than through the trigger guard. The rest of the hand comes into play to balance and hold the gun. For the secondary hand, once again the ornaments/tubing are in the way. Might i suggest a bar along the top to hold onto? It would help carry the weight of the barrells and improve aiming considerably.

Also, for the sake of the subjct of steampunk: since these are steam powered guns, sufficient pressure is needed to released as a driving force for the bullets. I'd minimize the amount of release stacks as much as possible as to ensure sufficient pressure.

Just trying to help with design and believability but you're on your way, keep praticing.

I'm glad that someone gave me real sugestions, thank you very much Aura, I'll take these in to the redesigns of them when I do redo them later. Just wanted to get my feet wet in the Steampunk pool and am glad I got some honest input. Honestly, these where the very first Sp thing I've ever drawn.

You're welcome. Steamunk is a fun style to dabble in because it forces you to think realistically - it's function over form, really. In a steampunk world, there is no electricity. You have to figure out how things are set into motion without it. Take a steam train for example. It may not look as flashy and cool as a high-tech spaceship to most but at least you can explain how it travels based on fact rather than fiction.

These are your first steampunk creations, huh? Keep it up, There's nowhere to go but up as long as you think things through and keep practicing.
