Alrighty, here's the actual finished piece! Introducing Mason, the little boy who "finds" Switchblade and brings him into his family. Switch's name was originally Cyrus before he ran away from his original home, and Mason renamed him Switchblade! He's stuck by that name ever since, and he's not willing to share his backstory with many people.

But a quick rundown of his history before this point! A rich family ordered Switch for their Grem collection, only for there to be a mistake in the order. As compensation, they sent the family another Grem free of charge. The Grem who had the mistake? That was Cyrus. The family treated all of their Grems as more of trophies and servants. All of the others didn't mind so much, and enjoyed the life in a way. After all, they all had a human companion to keep them company. Cyrus didn't, however, and grew to hate his home. He spend all of his growing life there, and struck out on his own, fleeing that life.

Lots of stuff in between, and we come to now. Cyrus was wandering through the forests in a small town outside of a huge city, trying to find a place for the night. He heard a call in the distance, it sounded distressed. A little boy's call for help. His instincts kicked in and he searched for the origin of the sound. Come to find out, the eleven year old boy tried camping in his backyard but panicked and ran away from his imagination, getting himself lost in the process.

Cyrus helped him get back home and to his family, and helped Mason's father recover the camping items. His mother insisted for the Grem to stay the night, as thanks. Before Cyrus could do anything, the family wanted him to stay. He thought it over for a week, but the thought of leaving this peaceful life was too much of a dream for him to leave. Having avoided telling them his name, Mason took it on himself (much to his parent's scolding) to name the Grem. Cyrus didn't care of course, he loved the gesture. Mason loved swords, knives, and pirates most of all. After only a second's thought, Switchblade came to his mind. Switchblade pushed his old life away, along with his name, and welcomed his new life...

A year later after all of this occurred, Switchblade and Mason are warming by the fire after a long play outside. The two are as close as brothers and loving as best friends...

of course uH,, something ends up happening and he doesn't get to stay with Mason, but that's for a later time >:00
